How To Play Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each. The goal of baseball is to score runs by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four markers called bases arranged at the corners of a ninety-foot square, or diamond.

After you select the pitchers challenge, a screen will come up with a math problem. Get the answer right and you move your men around the bases. Get it wrong and you get a strike. Three strikes equals an out.
If you get 3 outs the game is over.

Produce consistent power and control using proven baseball mechanics/skills. Create muscle memory with established practice routines. Think and act like a player (or coach) by applying sound coaching know-how.

Keep your eye on the ball when batting. There is an umpire behind the plate that lets everyone know if the pitch thrown was in the strike zone or not. If it was, then the pitch is a “strike”. If it wasn’t, then the pitch was a “ball”. When batting you get three strikes and four balls. If you get four balls before you get three strikes, then that is called a “walk”.

Did you know that throwing the ball accurately requires a little footwork? First, step toward the target with the glove side foot, making sure the toe of your shoe is pointing directly to where you want the ball to go. Aim the leading shoulder at the target. Aim the bill of your hat (the “duckbill”) at the target and throw.
