Education
Education holds the key to economic growth, social transformation, modernizational integration. The National Policy on Education formulated in 1986 and modified in 1992 aims to provide education of a comparable quality up to a given level to all students.
With education increasingly becoming the primary determinant of overall development in the emerging knowledge economy, Indiaedu seeks to become a meeting point for students, teachers, and all those who are concerned. With a huge data base of schools, colleges and universities across India, we provide information on various career courses, important educational institutes like IITs, IIMs, JNU, DU and other MBA colleges.
There has been an increasing awareness that the prople of the country should be looked upon as its valuable resource-indeed the most valuable rsource-and that our growth process should be based on the integrated develpoment of the citizen, begining wiht childhood and going right through life, It is increasingly realised that all relevent instruments and agencies contributing to or responsible for, this growth should be integrated in order to ensure all-round development.
Education as the process of educating or teaching (now that’s really useful, isn’t it?) Educate is further defined as “to develop the knowledge, skill, or character of…” Thus, from these definitions, we might assume that the purpose of education is to develop the knowledge, skill, or character of students. Unfortunately, this definition offers little unless we further define words such as develop, knowledge, and character.
